I heard you retired?:
We'll I retired from creating info products. I don't have enough money to not work. Just started day trading the S&P, options and having my buddy Jeff trade Forex for me. That is how I make 100% of my money to live.
What happened to all your old reviews?:
I took most of them down. Many were out of date and I don't have the interest in updating all of them. I have done reviews that are interesting to me and reviews that I think that are going to help the most number of people.
Why do your reviews look so different?
The reviews used to be a one page opinion piece I wrote about the opportunity (I had the first site in the world with such reviews) but now there are like 100 sites like this so instead of a one page rant about the opportunities (good and bad). I decided to do reviews that are mostly info and leave my opinion for a 2 to 3 minute video on the opportunity. You can scan more this way, watch the videos if you want more info and my site has 100 times the credibility VS sites that are just review (side note: Some of my competitors/friends are hiring guys in India to write reviews for them. While folks from India do speak English, it is one of their national languages, they don't know squat about American/European business opportunities. These are some of the worst and more bizarre reviews I have ever read.)
Where can I get your old products?:
I have heard there are a few students selling them (legally) but I have sort of lost interest in marketing those products. I don't have them for sale any longer. Sorry.
Why not just disappear all together?:
I guess I could have but I have the same email address so people are always e-mailing me asking me what I am into and what should they be doing to make money. Even though I don't create products any longer, I still feel the need and responsibility to direct people towards real opportunities.
Do you recommend anything right now?
Yeah you can read about what I recommend in the Recommended Section of my site. You can also read why I recommend the 3 to 4 things I do.
How do you make money?
I make nothing from this site. Any referrals commissions it earns are rolled into getting more visitors into reading the reviews. I am only going to have this up for a few years (at the most).
Some of what you recommend is pretty expensive. Anything cheaper?
I wish I had a bunch of things to recommend that were in the $100 to $300 but the problem is you need quite a bit more dough to launch something after you spend the $200. Everything out there requires more money. I would rather tell people up-front rather then have them wait.
Some places on your site it seems like you like MLM and other places you blast it. What gives?
I really have mixed feelings about it. While it is a big short cut to making money (since you can get started for so cheap) but you really don't own your own business. Companies can (and do) change their products, comp plans and rules for marketing. I was in something for a long time that had a great compensation plan and allowed you market online but changed their plan to something less attractive (pay wise) and implemented a lot of rules when it came to marketing online (which I, of course, don't like). I don't recommend much MLM stuff not but read my review about it. See what you think.
What happened to your old staff?
Michael moved back to Florida and divides his time between working and promoting Bio-Diesel vehicles (he has a 100% bio-diesel camper). Doug trades full time from his office in Portland. Mary is a full time tax professional and still occasionally helps me with taxes, mailings etc. I don't have any full time or part time employees for this. I even did about half the web site myself and all of the videos (minus some editing that Hans did).
You have promoted a lot of stuff over the years. What are some of your high points and low points?
High points would be my HBSS (Home Business Success Seminar. 9 hours on CD), hitting Presidential in Mannatech (an MLM I promoted) and learning how to make consistently day trading. Low point without a doubt would be Legisi.
What is the most important lesson that you have learned in your 12 years online?
Easy. Being able to take money and turn it into more money without customers, is the greatest business that there is. Had I had my highs and lows, I would never had been able to realize that is what I needed to be doing and actually find a way to do it.
