From Carlton Sheets to Tony Robbins.

I classify a guru as some that has a certain quality about them that you would like to emulate. Maybe they play the guitar like Eddie Van Halen or look like Hugh Jackman in Wolverine (minus the lamb chops). Point is that someone has a skill you wish you had. When I talk about gurus I am usually talking about someone that is going to teach you how to make money or a skill that will make you money.

Finding a mentor or guru is an great way to jump start your career and having someone that you can consult so you don't make the same mistakes they did (or at least learn from them faster) is really helpful. Two places that a lot of folks find their potential gurus is on TV and in books they buy at the bookstore. Only problem is these gurus are very, very expensive but and most don't usually do real mentoring at all. They just give you access to someone on their team for $10,000.

A real guru teaches you him or herself. Not have a lackey take your calls.

Most are a 3 or 4. There are a few are 10's but they are very, very hard to find.
