Network marketing (also called Multi Level Marketing, referral marketing and relationship marketing) is where a company has a product they want to market but instead of buying ads or creating a campaign they pay a group of marketers a cut of the product to go out and sell it to their friends (warm market) and people they don't know (the cold market). Many people incorrectly say that Network Marketing is a ponzi scheme. That isn't true if the product has real value. A ponzi scheme has no product or service. It is a clever way for a company to quickly reach 100 million in sales but repeat sales are often difficult with reps having to find a new person for every one that quits. Folks often times join companies like this because they are attracted to the marketing plan and not the products. In reality they should use the product for at least 90 days before they promote it to anyone.

Make sure you really, really, really like the product you are promoting. Most folks (like 99%) get involved with something because they think they are going to be rich and the product is secondary (even though it should be the most important thing).

I would say an 8 if you really like your product or service. A 1 if you don't.

8 stars
