Jeff Paul

If you picked up a copy of Entrepreneur or any other business opportunity magazine in '96, '97 or '98 you must have seen one of Jeff Paul's ads.

He always had a picture in the upper right hand corner with him on the phone and there is always some sort of headline about him "Making thousands of dollars a day sitting around in his underwear".

What Jeff Paul is really trying to do is teach you about direct marketing. The first product he sells you is a front-end book that really doesn't have a lot of information in it for $19.95. What he really wants you to do is buy one of his direct marketing packages for more money. (In the $150 to $200 range).

I don't have a problem with the up-sell as his products are actually pretty good. He does have some pretty outdated opinions about the internet. He may have changed his views but just three years ago he was talking about the internet being a bad place to market because it was just a bunch of kids.

I am sure that this opinion has changed but we will have to see. Jeff is one of Dan Kennedy's most successful students. If you have some of Dan Kennedy's materials then you are going to know most of the information that Jeff sells.

I have heard that Dan Kennedy even wrote the ads for Jeff's system but I have no evidence to back this up. Jeff Paul was talking about retiring and focusing on investing a few years back. I haven't heard anything from him so who knows what happened?
