Corey Rudl
Sadly, Corey Rudl
was killed in a tragic auto racing accident recently in 2005. Our condolences
go out to his family and his followers.
Corey is probably the best known of all the Internet marketers out there
right now. That doesn’t mean that he is the most successful, just
the best known. I know of one Internet marketer that is ten times as big
as Corey, he just doesn’t have his name or face on any of his site
(but I digress).
I am a fan of Corey’s. I don’t want people after reading
this review to think that I don’t like Corey or his materials.
I do. But that doesn’t mean that I like everything that Corey does
or is about. I think the best way to really give my opinion of Corey
is to do a down and dirty review of him.
The good, the bad and the ugly review:
The good: His written words. Corey’s course is
really, truly a great value for about $200. It is probably one of the
best, if not the best, course on the market. He used to give people a
30 minute mentoring session included for that price but he has just gotten
too big. I can’t recommend his written course enough.
The bad: Backends and software. Corey sells quite a
few software titles that, in my opinion, are OK but not as good as some
other products out there. At the time of this writing, Corey sells a
piece of software called “Mail Loop”. “Mail Loop” is
not the best piece of software on the market. Not by a long shot. I say
this because “Mail Loop” is hard to use, expensive and includes
no phone support. “Post Master” (a competitor) is twice as
easy to use, includes toll free support and just plain works better.
The ugly: Reselling Corey. Corey is starting to develop
a bad reputation for treating his resellers poorly. Just take a look
at his site. He sells quite a few things right on the front of his site
that resellers don’t get paid for. That means that if you resell
for Corey Rudl, you are going to be sending traffic to him that you aren’t
going to get paid for. While this is hardly illegal, it is the kind of
stuff that causes people to go resell somewhere else.
Maybe he has plans to change this but I have talked to some of his long
time resellers and some of them are not happy.
In conclusion: I highly recommend Corey Rudl's course
(or videos) but not his software or reselling for him.
