Reselling (or "Referring")

If you have any experience reselling for affiliate programs, then you know it's a great way to earn extra income. A lot of people out there don't realize that it's possible to earn several hundred thousand dollars or more per year reselling "other peoples" opportunities and products, without having to reinvent the wheel or take on unnecessary risk.

In most cases, the person you're reselling for already has a sales letter, your job is simply to generate traffic to your referral link. Advertise the link any way you wish, but when a customer orders the product through your affiliate link, voila....you make a profit!

Sounds great, right? Then why do so many unexperienced, would-be resellers fail? Answer: They're not aware of the pitfalls and they make BIG mistakes. They don't know any better.

Here are some good guidelines to follow to find success in reselling:

1) Pick a great product: There are a lot of garbage products out there. Pick something to resell that is in high demand and people really want or need.

2) Choose something that is unique: You don't want to have an army of competition or you'll never sell anything. If you're one of just a few, the odds are much better that YOU will get the sale.

3) Make sure it's Marketable: Some companies have specific rules that restrict your ability to market their product. Before you commit, make sure that marketing through the Internet is OK with them.

4) Is the business Global?: Are you able to resell wherever you want to ? The Internet allows you to market to the entire planet. The last thing you want to deal with is spending advertising dollars marketing to countries that cannot buy your product.

5) Ability to Sell 24/7: The Internet never sleeps. If your advertising is running 24/7, make sure the company you're reselling for is processing orders 24/7 as well. There is nothing worse than bringing a potential customer to the table, and then having them unable to purchase because your marketing partner is "closed".

6) Is it HOT!?: Every great product has its day where you can make some real money selling it. But once in a great while the perfect set of circumstances comes together to create explosive demand....the BUZZ factor. Time it right, and set yourself up for a long, long time.

7) Are current Affiliates being paid? Ask. Do some due diligence here. Go to the source.

Put these qualifiers together and you'll have a winner!
