Laundry Disks
Probably some of the biggest scams of the last ten years were the laundry
CD's being advertised by a number of different shady organizations.
The exact story of the laundry CD and how it started is irrelevant.
A lot of different people are pointing fingers at each other or at people
who are in hiding but here is the "laundry CD" low down:
- Laundry CD's don't work. They never did and never will. Have you
ever washed your hands without soap? You can get them fairly clean
with just hot water. Laundry CD's worked the same way. 90% of the science
behind them was star trek science.
- You should probably be using less detergent in your laundry anyway.
Just like tooth paste and shampoo, the amount of detergent that you
need in your wash has been vastly overstated by most of the laundry
detergent manufacturers.
- Consumer reports, two or three major universities and other companies
did independent tests of a number of top laundry CD's and all found
the same thing: The wash wasn't any cleaner with a laundry CD as compared
to plain water. Plain water even beat the CD's in some tests. Is that
joke or what?
Jim Fobair (alone) sold $45,000,000 worth of laundry CD's. That makes
laundry CD's one of the biggest scams of all time.
Before you order products through the mail that are based on the newest
science; Make sure that science is real and not something that some Laundry
CD company made up.
